Enercon, germanys largest windmill manufacturer, now owns the most powerful wind turbine in the world. This giant turbine now generates 6 megawatts, 6,000,000 watts. This powerful turbine can power up to 4000 homes. The turbine is painted lime green to blend in with its surroundings. One of these wind turbines powers Dardesheim.

HP Sees Huge Linux Desktop Deals

HP has now decided to offer desktop PC’s with linux on them. After seeing the demand for Linux PC’s, HP put up a vote on the internet to see if they should start selling desktop pcs with Linux on them. Previously, Dell has done the same. Hp has had Linux PC’s before but the demand for them has gone up so they plan to reintroduce them to the public.

Rumor Smashed: No Apple TV Games

Rumor WAS that Apple TV had some sort of game support. This rumor comes to an end when research is done and it is found that the code that was given is the same code that is in ipods and mobile phones. Mobile phones like the ROKR, not the iphone. Even if it had gaming support, Transferring ipod games to the Apple TV doesn’t really make sense at all.

Dell considers big change: offering Linux

Dell is thinking about making new PC’s that offer Linux as their operating system. On a recent vote more than 100,000 voters said that they would like Linux put on Dell PC’s. Dell is thinking of offering this to the public. Linux is an open source operating system and is free. It can be used on most computers, including Dell PC’s. A basic upgrade to the software on Windows generally costs around $99.

People of the Berkeley researching team estimated around 161 exabytes of data passed around during the year of 2006. They estimated, that amount of data is like 12 stacks of books that each reach from the Earth to the Sun. They also calculate it as 3 million times all the information written in all the books in the World. They counted all the digital data and also counted all the analog data if that was to be turned into digital data. They tallied non-electronic information, such as analog radio broadcasts or printed office memos.

Vista still vulnerable

Vulnerability Researchers are now focusing their attention on Windows Vista. Even tho Vista is a big step in security after Windows XP, it is far from invulnerable to attackers. Mr Maiffret says that Microsoft does everything possible to secure their coding but making an invulnerable operating system will probably never happen. Randomly placing system files into memory makes the operating system very secure because without knowing where the system files are in the memory, the operating system is harder to hack.
